I have a smaller cropped version of the painting also, which is 7 x 11 inches. That version does not include the camper or the car. I am talking with the Land of Nod about making prints of this painting for their spring catalogue. It looks good so far.
I have to give props to Chuck Shults on this one. I have always loved "It's Christmas Charlie Brown". I think the colors and design are fabulous in that cartoon. It has such a vintage feel when Charlie Brown and Linus are looking for the perfect Christmas tree. I am also drawing influence from an Alexander Girard sheet set called "showers" from the 1958 Herman Miller co. Wonderful random 'rain' pattern and color palate!
